Plane # 1

back to reality

It was a long trip home and a long recovery for me.

We left our guest house before 9 AM on Sunday 2/19.

Drove to the George Airport and returned the rental car--a little French model with a stick shift.

Flew from George to Johannesburg on South AFrican Air.

Long layover in Johannesburg.

Left about 8:30 PM on Delta flight to Atlanta, GA. It was a 17 hour flight. There are free movies!!

Arrived a bit early in Atlanta. It took almost 2 hours to clear immigration and customs. I dumbly but homestly confessed to having a banana in my bag that I bought in the J-burg airport. That took us a couple of extra minutes to discard that under their supervison.

We had another layover in Atlanta where we had time to reactivate my phone.

Then the last leg of flight to Orlando.

The Nedveds met us with our car and we all went out to lunch.

Unfortunately, it is another hour and a half back to the condo at the beach. We were both alseep by 8:30 Monday night.

We rejoice that we travelled for 25 days with safety, health and fun. Thanks to God!! And thanks for your prayers.
On day 8 my energy seemed to be back and jetlag was over. Time to start organizing all the pictures on the cameras and my phone. There are even a few on the iPad.

I want to let you all know that the stories and videos on KCCI are done very well. Check out the "AS SEEN ON KCCI" link from the KCCI.com web page. Then click on from Iowa to Africa parts 1 & 2. We are both in the videos, but no stardom. It gives pretty good coverage for the first 10 days that we spent with Blessman Ministries.
Check back for our top ten list of South Africa.
